Draft 4 of 7 · after the Mayflower, 1620
The Cremorne Compact
We, whose names are underwritten, the loyal residents of Cremorne, having undertaken, for the glory of the neighbourhood and the advancement of the local café, to plant the first republic in these parts, do solemnly and mutually covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil body politic.
By virtue hereof we shall enact such just and equal laws as shall be thought most meet for the general good of Cremorne, beginning with the bins.
